Finally put the cuttings into the ground. Been meaning to do it at dusk for the last month but that hasn't happened so I just put it out. In the sun. But the EZ Up box made a good shade so hopefully most of them will survive. Out of a pretty big bunch I ended up with 11 in the ground.
Just put a few more seeds in containers while I was at it. I put down some oats and wheat, planted two organic peach seeds, and five artichoke seeds.
I wonder if it's time to plant the garlic, as it's really stinking up my cupboard. Maybe tomorrow. It's hot out and I'm hungry.
Progress with everything else is pretty good. The Moon and Stars watermelon is still growing and thank god there's still sun, so hopefully I'll have a fruit. Many of the strawberries have sent out runners and I'm about ready to put little containers out for them. The mandarin orange babies are finally showing visible growth and some patterning- still smaller than a pearl earring so fingers crossed. The yellow squash is having a hard time producing a good-sized fruit. All of them have gotten to about four inches and started rotting from the flower end. I trimmed some of the leaves today after being fed up with not being about to walk around that area for so long.
Lots of photographs, but as usual, it's too much work. Maybe next time.
